The Great Fire of London Impact Day

The children enjoyed our Impact day to introduce our topic; The Great Fire of London.  As a class, we came up with some Big Questions that the children would like to find the answers to during this half term. They looked at historical artefacts and we discussed the names and purpose of each one.

We then listened to a story which explained lots of information about the fire, including how it started and why it spread so quickly. After break, we went outside and we all worked together as a team to demonstrate how the fire would have been put out using fire squirts and buckets of water from the River Thames.

We then completed a collage as a class to create The Great Fire of London as a collaborative art piece.
