Y6 Britain at War
Year 6 have loved learning all about Britain at War. We have had lots of amazing opportunities including a trip, an online learning opportunity about the Holocaust and a visit from SSgt Cope. During SSgt Cope's visit, he showed the children his medals, uniform and lots of pictures on what it is like to be in the army and serve his country. The children had the opportunity to ask lots of important questions and are excited for another visit. We were also lucky enough to visit The Bovington Tank Museum as part of our WWII topic. The children loved looking at all of the tanks and even building one of their own! They were also able to learn about the roles of people during WWII and experience the terrifying trenches of WWI.
