Year 4 Residential Visit to The New Barn Field Centre

At the end of October, some Year 4 children braved the cold and spent two nights away on a residential to New Barn Field Centre in Dorchester. This trip helped the children understand daily life for Ancient Greek residents as they explored their artwork (mosaics) , branded coins, made clay models and even ground wheat and made butter.

They also had the chance to meet farm animals like Penny the Pig. Hidden amongst the trees, they created large shelters with hot tubs and weapon storage. In the evenings, they enjoyed a night walk nature spotting and singing catchy songs around the campfire with burgers and hotdogs!

The children were extremely well behaved and made Conifers very proud!
